Getting Around
For getting around the city, the two best bus routes are the 30 and 15, which stop near every major downtown hotel and restaurant. Milwaukee County Transit System (bus service) operates 22 hours per day. Fare is: Adults: $1.35 (exact fare needed) and children: 65¢. Schedule information available daily from 6:00AM - 10:00 PM (414) 344-6711. Note: Gray Line Tours conducts bus tours that take in the must-see sights, including the Historic Third Ward, Mitchell Park Domes, Saint Joan of Arc Chapel and Pabst Mansion. The festive red trolley that whisks its passengers all across town, from Brady Street's Italian bakeries to Old World Third Street's brick road, rolls into action when the winds blow fair (from May to September). The journey is called the Milwaukee Loop.
